My love of the great outdoors began when my parents took me camping at the early age of one. That was the beginning of my strong interest in outdoor activities. Graduating from UCLA with a degree in Engineering and working several years on the space program as an engineer did not satisify me so I turned my energy to photography. Managing a Graphic Arts Firm and studio along with outdoors portraits and wedding photography kept my fingers busy and my creative eye energized. The next ten years were spent in the classroom at the high school level and another five years teaching college field classes in nature photography, astronomy, and geology for UC Santa Cruz, UC Santa Barbara and Northern Arizona U. Operating a Whitewater Rafting Company and Tour Company in the Southwest occupied my time for many more years.

Today my days are filled with wedding photography, whitewater raft guiding, hiking and photographic tours. Living in Mariposa, Ca., puts me in the heart of the Sierra Nevada and Yosemite National Park. When not working, I can usually be found hiking, rafting, kayaking, caving or just taking photographs of the many places where I travel. Non-outdoor interests might find me doing photo restorations on my computer, playing bridge or playing scrabble with friends.
